A normal Zebra skip takes mixed rubbish. When a load is all the same thing, for example plasterboard, soil and hardcore or timber, we can recycle it more easily, so a skip just for that is often cheaper. Ask our Fareham office for a price.
A skip on the road, pavement or a verge has to be licensed by Hampshire County Council, Portsmouth City Council, Southampton City Council or West Sussex County Council, whichever covers your street. We make the application. Each council sets its own fee and timescale, so tell us when you book.
Almost anything from a house clear-out, a garden or a building job. These are the only things we turn away.
Got plasterboard? It needs a skip of its own: just ask.

Yes, a short list:
Plasterboard can't be mixed with other rubbish. If you have some, ask us for a skip just for plasterboard and we'll price it separately. Our sister company's guide covers what can and can't go in a skip.
A normal hire with Zebra is 7 working days, and online you can book up to 14 days at the same price. Need it a bit longer? Call our Fareham office: we can usually stretch it.
Allow a clear 3 metres of width: the skip lorry itself is 2.7 metres across. If it has to swing round to drop the skip, it needs room for that as well. If in doubt, email a photo of the spot to our Fareham office and we'll tell you.
Up to the top edge and no higher. An overloaded skip can't legally go on the road, so the driver would have to ask you to take some out first.
Only when it sits on the road, the pavement or a verge. Your council issues it and we make the application for you when you book. Overnight, a skip on the road must be lit and coned: a local tool-hire shop will have them. How skip permits work.
It takes a couple of minutes online. Rather talk it through? Our Fareham team will help you pick the size.
